Lancefield Golf Club
Lancefield Golf Club is situated in a picturesque valley 3km north of the township of Lancefield in the Macedon Ranges district of Victoria. The area is renowned for its quality wineries, agricultural produce, tourist attractions and places to get away from it all.
At only 35 minutes north of Melbourne Airport and less than half an hour from the nearby towns of Gisborne, Kyneton, Kilmore and Woodend, it is the perfect golfing destination.

The Golfing Experience
Our 18-hole par 72 course (5908 metres men, 5192 metres ladies) offers a slightly undulating semi-links design with well-maintained greens and fairways. The course presents sufficient challenges for low handicappers and high markers alike.
Lancefield Golf Club is remarkable for its superb views of the surrounding countryside from Mount Macedon to the Cobaw Ranges.
The course is normally open 7 days a week all year round.

Whether you are a serious low handicapper or just enjoy social golf, Lancefield has it all. Our fully-licensed clubhouse is open on weekends so that you can enjoy a drink after your round. Sit around the log fire in the cooler months or take in the views from the verandah - you will be made feel most welcome!

Lancefield Updates
Junior Golfers at Lancefield -
Thanks to the efforts and encouragement of our adult members, we now have more than 20 Junior members of Lancefield Golf Club, with many playing in regular competition. In view of this we've added a JUNIOR MEMBERS page to the website, with heaps of information about special clinics for kids, details about joining fees, competition results and tournaments.
Community Bank Grant -
Lancefield has been successful in obtaining a special grant of $1000 from one of our sponsors, the Bendigo Community Bank, Lancefield & Romsey, to assist with the installation of practice nets near the Clubhouse. We are most grateful to the Bank, and hope to begin construction of the nets in the very near future.
Tees and Trees -
Visitors to the Club will have noticed much needed new couch grass teeing grounds on the 1st, 4th, 9th (ladies), 16th and 18th holes. These were laid as turf by a willing group of volunteers, under the guidance of our greenkeeper Conway Bovil. The grass has bedded in well and will make a big improvement to the teeing surface on these holes. The Club plans to restore other tees in due course.
Likewise many new trees have been planted along the fairways and in other locations on the Course over the past few months. These will enhance the look and feel of the Course in years to come. The Club thanks Peter McLaughlin and others for their initiative and hard work in getting this program up and running.
Water Supply & Storage-
The Club has recently sunk a bore to supplement our major dam and to help alleviate our water shortage in the drier months. There is good water flow from the bore and the water quality is currently being assessed. It is likely a new dam will also be constructed.
Lancefield Tip Site -
Discussions are being held with the Macedon Ranges Shire Council regarding the old tip site on the western boundary of the golf course. The Council's long-term plan has been to reclaim the site and use the land to accomodate the four holes currently on the eastern side of Heddle Road. Current negotations look promising and we will post new developments on this website.
Clinics -
In March we held coaching clinics with teaching professional Brian Twite (Metropolitan Golf Club). This is the second year that Lancefield has held these clinics for new golfers and experienced players wishing to refine their skills. It is likely that the clinics will be run again in 2011.
We are also running clinics for Junior golfers - see JUNIORS page for details.
