Winter $1000

The Annual Winter $1000 was held on Sunday 18 July, with 14 teams of 4 competing in an aggregate Stableford event. This year's winning team with 138 points was Chris Lingard (LGC), Brett Lockens (LGC), Jamie Duffy (Kilmore) and Nick Ware (Kilmore).

Runners-up, also on 138 points, were Bert Parks, Hugh Parks, Col Stirton and Mason Memmolo.

The Lancefield-Romsey Vignerons' Invitation Ambrose

The Annual Open Ambrose on Sunday 23 May 2010 was won by the family team of Steve Hyndes, Francis Hyndes, Nick Hyndes and Andrew Hyndes with a score of 68 (nett 55 1/4) from runners-up Denis Linehan, Troy Linehan, Mason Memmolo and Michael Lingard 64 (nett 56 1/8) on countback from G. Hanson, C. Hanson, J. Pilkington and K. Peterson. Click here for photos.

The Lancefield Open

The Lancefield Open Tournament was held in blustery and damp conditions on the weekend of 29 & 30 May. Twenty eight teams (mens and mixed) competed in the 18 hole 4BBB on Saturday, and 44 men competed in the 27 hole Stroke competition on Sunday.

We had several visitors from other Clubs on both days, notably from Goonawarra and Kilmore and all agreed the course was presented in top condition (thanks Con).

Lancefield wishes to thank our generous sponsors of this event - The House of Golf (Epping), Retravision (Sunbury), National Australia Bank (Romsey), Excessories, Lancefield Hardware, Bowen Therapy (Lancefield) and Soltan Pepper Restaurant (Romsey).

Players on Sunday were very appreciative of the fine lunch of soup and roast chicken prepared and served by Diane Brennan, Hilda Caley and Sheena Carter and the bar service provided by Peter McL. and Helen D.
