The 1st fairway slopes down toward the creek then back up to the forward-sloping green.

Slightly right of the centre of the fairway is the best bet off the tee: trees either side (particularly on the left) can spoil your next shot. Too far left and the gravel road comes into play.

Big hitters will easily clear the creek from the tee (the bridge is 213m from the mens tee); otherwise a shot layed up before the creek is a good option for reaching the green in two. Be aware of the small dam (water hazard) to the left.
