Hole 15 Par 5, 524m (M), 453m (L)
Hole 15 Index 1(M), 1(L) At 524m (Men), the longest hole at Lancefield features a double dogleg fairway and plenty of excitement. The left side OOB runs up to the large tree at the first turn (about 140m from the back markers). Big hitters will go over the tree but any lack of judgement can cause grief. Most will try to stay centre left of the fairway & right of the tree for a clear shot over the creek & up the next leg of the fairway. A straight shot is called for here - left and it may well be OOB at 200m out (the fence on the left ); to the right is a pine plantation which will require an escape shot back to the fairway. The green sits on top of the sharp slope above the fairway. It's reasonably flat but with a dip towards the back and a small hump behind the green. Diagram LEGEND |
