LADIES PENNANT NEWS -
Lancefield won 3 1/2 to 1 1/2 against Gisborne in Division 2 Pennant on Monday 11 April - the first Lancefield Ladies team to compete in Pennant in 12 years. Lancefield won against Seymour in Round 2 on April 18 and lost to Kilmore in Round 3 on May 9.
On May16 the team was defeated by Woodend 2/3 but had a win against Trentham (3/2) on 23 May. The Finals were won by Woodend, defeating Kilmore 5/0. Given that nearly all the Lancefield ladies were new to Pennant the overall result of 3 matches won and 2 lost over the Pennant season was outstanding.
