Mens Pennant 2011
Lancefield Golf Club congratulates its A Grade (Division 1, Section 1) and Handicap Section 4 teams for winning the Dalhousie District Pennant Finals on Sunday 1 May. The finals were held Alexandra and Seymour respectively. The Club extends its appreciation to all players, caddies and members of the 2011 Pennant teams.

A Grade -Congratulations to the captain of A grade, Brett Lockens and team with a undefeated score card for the season. Over the last two years, our A grade team have proven themselves as strong players in match play to the Dalhousie District Golf Association and to their peers within many clubs. With a reputation of comradeship, mateship and story telling there is more to come from Locko’s A Team.

Handicap Section 4 - Dave Muller and his team started the season with a bad loss to Romsey, but guts and determination saw them through. With seasoned players providing stability to the side, Lancefield's junior players were able to spread their wings and have a go with great results. As a first time captain who strategized well with a committed team, the challenge will be to have a level head and a steady approach for next year.
For our B grade (Division 2) captain, Bert Parks who’s birthday wishes ended with un-opened champagne, it will be the one that got away. The strength and commitment that this team showed will not be forgotten as the champagne is on ice, the balloons and streamers at the ready for next year.
