Mt William Cup 2010
The Annual Ladies Mt William Cup was held on 8 April 2010. Teams of 3 players from each Club competed in an Aggregate Stableford competition, with three individual players representing 3 Clubs.
A total of 78 competitors represented 18 Clubs - a record for this event!
Competing clubs and teams were as follows -
Avenel (1 team), Broadford (1), Craigieburn (1), Euroa (1), Gisborne (2 teams), Goonawarra (2), Kilmore (2), Kyneton (2), Lancefield (4 teams), Marysville (1), Melton Valley (1), Romsey (1), Seymour (2), Trentham (1), Woodend (3). Individual players represented each of Alexandra, Eildon and Lakeside.
Much of the day's success was attributed to those Lancefield ladies who generously gave their time to assist with organizing the event, preparing the draw, tallying the scores, assisting on the course with directions, preparing and serving lunch, decorating the Clubhouse and tables and generally attending to all those tasks essential in making an event of this size run smoothly.
Thanks are also due to Club members who prepared the course so ably, to Roger and Neryl-Lea Sparke for bar duties and to sponsors who generously donated prizes (L'Oreal and High Tee Ladies on-line ladies golf accessories -see links at left).

Winning team - MARYSVILLE (103 points) - Liz Amos 37(15), Helen Elliot 31(34) and Jenny Coleman 35(23).
Runners-up - KYNETON (No. 1 team) (101 points) - Denise Murphy 32(13), Kay Standfield 34(23) and Grace Parkinson 35(22)
A Grade winner - Sue Heffernan 38(15) (Gisborne 1). Sue also scored an eagle on the 17th. Congratulations Sue!
A Grade runner-up - Marlene Hodges 37(20) (Gisborne 2)
B Grade winner - Margaret Bland 40(26) (Alexandra)
B Grade runner-up - Dawn Elder 38(25) (Woodend 2)
C Grade winner - Kaylene Cruise 39(38) (Lancefield 2)
