Mt William Cup 2011
The Mt William Cup was run on Thursday 31 March, with a field of 51 Ladies playing on our course. We were unlucky with the weather; after a lovely day Wednesday, we faced a very cold and windy course on Thursday, but despite this we had some very good scores.
Winners were Gisborne, shown here with Lancefield Captain Jenny Colson (Liz Toomey, Lyn Wells and Helen Flentje) with a score of 104 points, just beating one of our local teams (Di Brennan, Hilda Caly and Pam Drummond) with 103 points.
Gisborne won the bowl at Kilmore the week before, so they will have lots of silverware to clean.
A grade winner was Shirley Shelton from Trentham on 36 points.
B grade winner was Chris Doherty from Woodend on 39 points.
C grade Winner was Marion Weatherald from Euroa on 41points.
Veteran winner was Marion Weatherald as well. A big thankyou again to our sponsors, Lancefield Freighters for the prizes for the winners, and MTM Golf Clubs for the Nearest the Pins prizes. We are so lucky to have sponsors for this event.
